As the sun begins to set over Trewithen’s historic gardens, we invite you to join Sam Galsworthy, 10th-generation steward of Trewithen and Founder of Sipsmith, for an evening that celebrates pioneering spirit and botanical wonder. Sam shares stories from the remarkable journey of founding London’s first small-batch gin distillery in over two centuries - a venture that changed British law and helped spark a new gin renaissance.
Throughout the evening, a tour of the garden takes in Champion Trees and botanical splendours, with fascinating tales of the pioneering plant hunters, whose global expeditions brought back many of the rare and exotic specimens that still thrive here today.
Wandering between two rustic sipping stations set in the garden’s most tranquil corners of the garden, enjoying a perfectly poured Sipsmith gin and tonic and a gin cocktail as the light softens and the gardens take on their after-hours magic.
It’s a moment to slow down, savour London Dry Gin in the Cornish countryside, and experience Trewithen Gardens in an entirely new light. Tickets are £60 per person, including a gin & tonic, gin cocktail, and nibbles. Non-alcoholic tickets are also available for £50, for drivers and those abstaining to enjoy the evening with delicious mocktails.
