Within the garden walls: planting design workshop

Join us on Friday 25th July from 11am until 12.30pm for an inspiring and practical morning within the historic walls of Trewithen’s Walled Garden. This planting design workshop is perfect for garden enthusiasts looking to bring new ideas to life or overcome challenges in your own spaces. Come armed with a specific area of your garden in mind, photos even, for the team to offer their thoughts and tailored advice on. Or, just soak up the atmosphere of the walled garden and learnings from the process behind how it looks today.

The morning will begin with an introduction to the Walled Garden, including behind-the-scenes photos and Millie’s insights into the redesign process. We will then have a tour of the walled garden, with Gary and Millie giving a talk on planting beds and borders, focusing on the principle of ‘right plant, right place’ to help you make confident choices for your own garden. Colour coding and creating year-round colour will be a particular focus.

To round off the morning, there will be the chance to explore the walled garden at your own pace, gathering cut flowers to create your own posy to take home.
